I've never heard of Winds of War but it was just put into My List. I'll be watching in the coming days. Sounds amazing!

Re: TV Shows
Anyone else kind of excited for the Fargo premiere on FX? Before even seeing the premiere I love the casting.

I thought the 2nd episode was definitely > than the 1st (which was still decent).Spangler wrote:Silicon Valley referenced the Mass Effect 3 ends. I cannot put into words how awesome that was!

Recorded it. I believe it's just a miniseries, right?

Re: TV Shows
The Fargo pilot was way better than I expected. I loved it, Billy Bob Thorton rules in it. Very excited for the rest of this series now.
Fargo is similar to True Detective - different cast each season

Still 13 eps behind... we've spent our week catching up on Castle, now only 5 behind. (When we started, we were in early November for both shows)blackjack68 wrote:Dark turn on Person of Interest last night.

Just watched the first 2 episodes of Turn. I like it thus far. May just stop watching and watch the season in 1 shot.

I was reading the tj miller ama on reddit and I didn't know that the guy that played Peter Gregory on silicon valley died of lung cancer during filming. Crazy.

Re: TV Shows
When it first came out, I really enjoyed Sons of Guns. As it has gone on, it has gotten progressively worse as they add more and more reality show bs drama. I am close to not even recording it to watch when bored at this point.

Re: TV Shows
i thought it was pretty weak. the comedy of the conference call was good, and i liked the don/sally diner scene. but i don't have much interest in the long-running plots right now. which isn't good since there are only 14 episodes left. and this show is at its worst when don is neutered. i know they have to take him down a peg or 50 for his redemption to come to fruition, but it's not that interesting of a ride.eddysnake wrote:Mad Men was great on Sunday.

I have stopped watching mad menthe las season or two for some reason, but i saw a commercial the other day. Is don losing it or is that just the way they cut the commercial.

Re: TV Shows
Yeah, he's kind of losing it. He's been suspended/laid off from SCP, but hasn't told any family until his daughter figures it out. He's day drinking and so on, while working with Freddy Rumsen on new ad pitches, which Freddy sells by proxy. The trailers are a little more sensationalized, but that's what's going on.Idoit40fans wrote:I have stopped watching mad menthe las season or two for some reason, but i saw a commercial the other day. As for TURN, another good episode. I do have a concern about all of the pistol cocking. These muzzle loading, black powder guns are quite tedious to load, and from my little knowledge of Civil War rifles, you don't really walk around with the pistol or gun loaded. The ball would probably fall out, followed by the powder propellant. I just think it odd that in two or three scenes, the characters whip out pistols and cock them...without loading them first. I know, no one wants to see the characters loading weapons, but not having that scene modernizes the weapons a bit.

Re: TV Shows
Haha i always assumed that about those pistols...but wasnt sure. In the bar scene in the first episode that did cross my mind, but i havent thought about it since. Im watching the 3rd episode tonight hopefully.
