Think it's more like they replaced someone who was somewhat recognizable in the role with someone who looks like everyone else.André wrote:Don't get the obsession with the Darioo's beard. It's like the "Gandalf's hat is blue not grey!" geek fanboy when FoTR first premiered.

Re: George R.R. Martin
I technically didn't even finish Feast For Crows. I gave up with about 200 pages left and read Tower of the Hand instead. I haven't read DWD and I won't. I'll read Tower of the Hand for the rest of series and watch the show. His writing style makes me frustrated sometimes. I don't need 10 pages describing the food on the table. This isn't 19th century Britain or France. You're not getting paid by the word bro. Move it along please...newarenanow wrote:I have about 150 pages left in SOS. Do yourself a solid and read the combined version of the last 2 books: http://ballofbeasts.weebly.com/download.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The boring chapters are still boring, but the story as a whole flows so much better. Instead of someone saying "where is so and so?" and waiting 1000 pages to find out, by which time you've probably forgotten half of what was said, the logical chapter with the mentioned character follows.

Re: George R.R. Martin
Agreed. Breinne in the books is not attractive at all. She described as having coarse features, prominent crooked teeth, a wide mouth, swollen lips, and a nose that has been broken several times. Also, by this point in the books a bunch of those crooked teeth have been broken or knocked out.DelPen wrote:The most striking difference is, of course, Tyrion. Even Breinne is probably too pretty.

Neither can I. was so hard keeping my mouth shut about it to a couple of friends who watch religiously but haven't read the books
