Ha ha, I know. I reread the first two books, but I don't think I could get through any of the others. Just not enough time.

Yes, it's coming back now. Arya was the only interesting part and it took 800 pages in between to hear her continued story for 20 pages. The Starks make unlimited stupid decisions. I stopped feeling bad for them at some point.WDWBurghGooner wrote:Spoiler:

Yes. From the interviews with the writers, they purposely left out some of the details from the book that hinted at what was to come because they wanted the shock level to be at its absolute maximum.WDWBurghGooner wrote:Spoiler:

Re: George R.R. Martin
I'm on about page 550 of Book 3 and have come to that realization. Really, only Arya is somewhat smart in her decisions, and even then, she has made some pretty dumb ones. But she at least seems to learn from those dumb ones. For example, she wasted two kills on meaningless people, realized that and ended up making a smart decision to escape Harranhall.shmenguin wrote:The Starks make unlimited stupid decisions. Re: George R.R. Martin
Seems that Martin is revealing more and more chapters from WOW lately. I have not read any of them myself at this point... I would prefer not to, but it's getting harder to avoid spoilers as people cannot resist the urge to mention details from those chapters when discussing certain characters.

I know. Sometimes people start bringing up new details that I never heard before, and I start to thing, "Where are they getting this because I don't remember that happening."the wicked child wrote:Seems that Martin is revealing more and more chapters from WOW lately. Re: George R.R. Martin
and some people think it's going to be easy to avoid spoilers from the tv show. Take the number of people that read the new chapters, multiply that by a few hundred thousand social media happy people...the wicked child wrote:Seems that Martin is revealing more and more chapters from WOW lately. Re: George R.R. Martin
Indeed. Reading Neil Marshall's comments about shooting that episode have had me stoked for months. Of course, I could say the same for a lot of the stuff that is going to happen this season...
