Little odd, B-Hawks do not have any center depth, Pirri was experimented with on the 2nd line a little bit...one must assume they have another center lined up...
I'll add that Pirri did request to be moved. Blackhawks accommodating that request and the team that is always there to pick up their scraps is Florida...

It makes too much sense...minus the whole thing about worrying you have to play Kesler in the playoffs and/or trading him to a team that you really, really, really don't like...

A Van-Chi trade is about as likely as a Pit-Bos trade. Not bloody likely!

I thought I had heard he was the odd man out after they added Regin?

Unless I was mistaken.

No one is the odd man out when you acquire Peter Regin.

When I see a front line cup contender adding picks and no players in a trade, I assume they are fleecing the other team. Didn't Pirri have a good AHL season last year though?

Bob McKenzie ✔ @TSNBobMcKenzie
Brandon Pirri, demoted by CHI after Regin trade, may be dealt by March 5 deadline. CHI getting calls on him. For right offer, he could move.
That was from February 7th.

I mean, Coach Q doesn't seem to care for him...but it's a situation like we have here...we keep a slug like Engelland and send down Despres because we don't want to expose one to waivers...ya know? Same basic deal...Regin isn't worth the paper he's printed on to the Blackhawks I don't think...I'm sure he'll be scratched for most of the playoffs unless he magically carves out some niche...

Just a matter of accommodating a request by a player to be moved on...B-level prospect, maybe a C-level return...
