Re: 2014 NHL Trade Rumor Thread
I would have tried to pull Cole and leave Stewart. It should probably read as Sabres send Miller and Ott and take Stewart in exchange for...

I still think they should go after Callahan. I would fully root for that team.Malkamaniac wrote:Team is going to be really tough.columbia wrote:I like the Blues, so glad to see they are making an effort.

Re: 2014 NHL Trade Rumor Thread
Are the Sabres planning on trying to re-sign Halak. Seems weird that they'd trade for a pending UFA. I can't imagine they will have many opportunities to flip him.

Lots of talk on twitter that this may be a team he'd be open to sign for long term.Idoit40fans wrote:Are the Sabres planning on trying to re-sign Halak. Seems weird that they'd trade for a pending UFA. I can't imagine they will have many opportunities to flip him.

Ryan Miller will finish his career in St. Louis. I'm sure they have already started talking about a deal.Malkamaniac wrote:Lots of talk on twitter that this may be a team he'd be open to sign for long term.Idoit40fans wrote:Are the Sabres planning on trying to re-sign Halak. Will likely get scratched? I'm gonna go ahead and say he definitely will be.ROTOWIRE FANTASY ANALYSIS
Halak was in line to start Friday's game in goal, but it seems will likely be scratched with the announcement of the trade. He was in the midst of a productive season with the Blues, but the team felt Miller was an upgrade in net. Halak should slide in as the main goaltender in Buffalo, but it should be noted his win-loss record and overall stats could take a hit from a weaker defense and offense in front of him on the ice.

Will Chris Stewart score negative goals in Buffalo? Or will he do the 5 second shift?

I don't see Miller being an upgrade over Halak, but the subtraction of Stewart while adding Ott is a plus.

The Blues are pure sandpaper. Whoever they play in the first round, before the league does the annual crackdown on cheap shots... That's gonna be a fun series to watch.

LA is in a different division. They'll play Colorado or Minnesota.

La is currently in the 3rd spot in their division, i believe they just have to drop 1 spot to be in line to plat stl.shmenguin wrote:Then I take back what I said. Their first round is going to blow.pcm wrote:LA is in a different division. They'll play Colorado or Minnesota.
