I'm happy for Kunitz and Sid, especially since they both were able to score in this game, but screw off Canada. Your fans and media have been classless and just downright horrible throughout the entire tournament and are frankly embarrassing at times.

Well, that wasn't fair. Canada never trailed in the tournament. They haven't been scored on in over two games. Price only gave up 3 goals in 5 games. Sweden had 0 scoring chances in the third period.

I haven't been looking/reading from the Canadian media, nor seen things from fans, could you post some examples?npv708 wrote:Your fans and media have been classless and just downright horrible throughout the entire tournament and are frankly embarrassing at times.

I kept expecting the announcer to say Count Chocula. Maybe I'm crazy though.

Millions of fans of other NHL teams don't believe their team's players are celebrating with Cindy Crysby right now.

Where were there people heckling the losing team? I must've missed it.meow wrote:I kind of agree, but it's tough to fault them.Pavel Bure wrote:I dunno I kinda feel like an old fuddy duddy but I don't think you heckle the losing team in the Olympics.meow wrote:Celebrated.count2infinity wrote:what'd they do?Pavel Bure wrote:Real classy by the fans of Canada... In my personal experience, Canadians are sore winners. They don't know how to win graciously.

Some US fans haven't exactly been the most gracious losers.
It's ok to admit it, when better teams win.

Re: The Official Olympic Hockey Thread
Weren't there a couple Pittsburgh writers that predicted that the US would win gold and Canada would finish 3rd or 4th?
Funny that they couldn't be more wrong.

All I heard was some "Oles" and then the "na na na hey hey hey goodbye" chant towards the end. No big deal and certainly nothing classless.tfrizz wrote:

So line matching is a good strategy unless it is not?MWW wrote:In German TV the announcers remarked, that Sweden used a wrong strategy from the beginning. In all their previous games they played their game, vs. Canada they started line matching and never found their success. They let Canada dictate the game speed.Tico Rick wrote:Really. They are playing so passively. I can't believe they hired such a complete idiot to coach that team.columbia wrote:They need to fire their coach.MWW wrote:Sweden has given up...

TSN just showed a picture of a church service in Eastern Canada....they had the game on a projection screen and everyone watching, seated in the pews.
As a Canadian, that even surprises me.
