some recent posts have reminded me of this one...
when dudes talk about how much they love, "the princess bride". i understand that there's nothing wrong with liking that movie, and that, despite its title, it's not really a chick flick. but still...

I've never seen it, because it does seem like a chick flick.

I've never watched the princess bride, the big lebowski, or caddyshack beyond a few youtube clips I've seen over the years

Foreigner with Kelly Hansen (Hurricane) is really good. It doesn't hurt that Mick Jones is still with the band, but Kelly adds a much needed energy for their live shows.PensFanInDC wrote:I knew there were more. Stone Temple Pilots without Scott Weiland
Sure lets replace an icon with a great voice with Chester from Linkin Park. Piece of pie?? More like Piece of Crap!
AC/DC
Journey
Alice in Chains (yeah....I said it...)
But I tend to agree. Most of the time its just bad.
I heard the new STP song on the radio a while back and had no idea what it was. I liked it and was shocked to hear what it was.

Totally a chick flick. Only freaks must like it. The problem with most Fenders is their pickups. I have a Telecaster and have been thinking of having it modded to a Keith Richards style, with a double humbucker for the neck pickup.

Fender's hit and miss with me. Teles with burlier necks work for me, but the stock pickups are eh. Strat styles are eh overall.PensFanInDC wrote:Ill stick with this themeEismann wrote:Feeling....peevey?MRandall25 wrote:I get peeved when people don't talk about peeves in the peeve thread.

I've played dozens and I just don't like em. SRV is, in my opinion, the greatest guitarist of all time and he used Fender so there is SOME good.Eismann wrote:Fender's hit and miss with me. Teles with burlier necks work for me, but the stock pickups are eh. Strat styles are eh overall.
Agreed although I hate the way they feel in my hands.columbia wrote:The problem with most Fenders is their pickups. I have a Telecaster and have been thinking of having it modded to a Keith Richards style, with a double humbucker for the neck pickup.
I'm an ESP guy. I love a good sturdy, heavy guitar feel.

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
Kinda weird to discuss in this thread, but I have a sweet Warlock, as well as an Ibanez 7-string. I've always kinda wanted to get either Dimebag's confederate guitar or the Dimebolt, but can't really justify spending the money at this point with how much I play.

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
I thought warlock was a body type and not a brand. I know BC Rich makes a warlock. I have a $300 BC Ricj flying V that is the second best guitar I've ever owned. It sounds and feels great. It played and sounded better than my Les Paul Custom.
I used to have a Washburn Dimebag in the lightening bolt pattern. Fun guitar, very heavy. My ESP JH-2 is at the top of my list. I love this thing...
