Our goalie room-serviced the setup on that last goal ..... on a "silver" platter.

This is why the US Women's hockey team needs a hockey coach. Not a "women's hockey coach". Canada is coached by Kevin Dineen, for crying out loud.

Team America played the entire 3rd per on their back skate. Took their feet of the throttle and coasted to this tie.

I don't see any difference between the two.llipgh2 wrote:This is why the US Women's hockey team needs a hockey coach. Not a "women's hockey coach". Canada is coached by Kevin Dineen, for crying out loud.

Wtf? I refreshed the box score ten minutes ago and it was 2-0 with 4 freaking minutes left. Just refreshed it again now and it's 2-2. Well that sucks.

Disagree. For the 3-4 minutes prior to the 1st goal, USA was doing exactly what it wanted - dominating territorially...and then Canada got one rush and scored a lucky goal.tifosi77 wrote:Team America played the entire 3rd per on their back skate. I'll agree they did appear dazed and timid after that, which resulted in the 2nd goal.

Re: The Official Olympic Hockey Thread
I think a hockey coach would be more agressive in the third, and have his team play to win, not to play not to lose. That's how the US looked to me in the third.DelPen wrote:I don't see any difference between the two.llipgh2 wrote:This is why the US Women's hockey team needs a hockey coach. USA has too many fems on the team and not enough players with wallets attached to chains on their hockey pants. Preferably, these bruisers would also be from either Chicago or NY so you know they definitely aren't going to tolerate any BS.
