Re: The Official Olympic Hockey Thread
i'm waiting to hear a good explanation of how the russians are so supremely talented. compared to latvia, sure. but their roster isn't in the same class as USA and Canada. not even close, really. they have top-end talent, but no depth to speak of, at least not for a team that's supposed to be a contender. losing to finland is a bit of an upset, but losing to sweden wouldn't be. and they should be expected to lose to canada or US.npv708 wrote:I'd really like to see Russia at least medal in these games, but watching them actually upsets me. They have to be one of the most frustrating teams I've ever watched. They are so talented, but boy are they stupid and selfish.

I'm glad him and Kovalchoo are going to take the brunt of the blame here. Glad Geno keeps a low profile.PensFanInDC wrote:BBC is destroying OV. Total lack of emotion and passion.

This is so very delicious and filling I don't think I'm going to be able to eat the rest of the evening; in fact, I honestly don't think I can have one more bite of your painful humiliation. I'm...I find I'm just a little stuffed. Will take my keys to go, though!

Finland's playing really, really sound defense.
Russia's also playing pretty stupidly and selfishly. Kinda reflects on the coaching a bit.
