Pot-Limit Texas Hold 'Em

As I mentioned in the No-Limit Hold 'Em thread, I'm looking to learn the scoring rules for pot-limit. I think I have a grasp but there's no substitute for doin' it.

so what are the ground rules as far as time limits are concerned (not trying to hurry MWB... just curious)? I saw in the other poker thread some got panties all twisted up over time limits.

Here's what I get from Wiki:

In a pot-limit game no player can raise more than the size of the total pot, which includes:

1. Chips collected from previous betting rounds (Starting pot)
2. Previous action in the current betting round (Trail)
3. A call from the player making the raise

So the previous round = 0
Current betting round = 6
Call requires 4 from MWB = 4

So maximum raise is 10?


I see that MWB folded. OK. But what about the calculation? Any help?

That's what I was just wondering redwill.... I'd like to raise. So the pot is 6, my call would make it 10, so I can raise 10 to make the bet now 14? If so, I'd like to do that.

I think you have it right, c2i. Your 4 covers the call, so the pot goes up 4, then you can raise the pot.

Your action is effectively "call 4, raise the pot".
