Same. I don't want to feel compelled to cause an international incident.Trip McNeely wrote:Hopefully its a cut and not something to do with his eye

First time seeing highlights from the USA game, Blake Wheeler's got some wheels.

Re: The Official Olympic Hockey Thread
The more I think through it, the more I think Canada winning in regulation is the best outcome for the US. It would put Canada, Finland, and Russia on the opposite side of the bracket. It would put Sweeden, Switzerland, and the Czechs with US.

Re: The Official Olympic Hockey Thread
I did not know this:
Carey Price was born in Vancouver, British Columbia but was raised in the remote town of Anahim Lake in northern British Columbia. He was taught to play goaltender by his father on a frozen creek during the winter months and played organized hockey in Williams Lake nearly five and a half hours away by car. Having to make the ten hour round trip three days a week, Carey's father bought a plane to fly him to practice and games.

Was Pierre just sticking it to edzo?
Edzo: it's hard to play in the NHL
Pierre: good call, Eddie. It really really is.
Almost seemed sarcastic

Re: The Official Olympic Hockey Thread
Yes, he did. I want him to do well because I'm over tired hearing about how he shouldn't be on the team. Same with Orpik for us. He's there, and there's nothing you (not you at all, shmenguin, but "people") can do about it. So you can either root for him to do well or leave it alone. I can see reacting for a bit after the team was announced. I just don't get harping on it a month later once the tournament has started. He hasn't cost the team games.shmenguin wrote:He looked down right sad after he got robbedLt. Dish wrote:I'd like to see Kunitz have a good game.

Put me in the like column. It's a break from hearing the same nhl chatter. The play by play from these two gentlemen seems to have split opinion on social media with very much a “marmite” love or hate attitude towards them.
