Game. Swiss lead 1-0. If the game goes another 45 minutes like this (possible), that'll be three straight 1-0 games involving the Swiss in pool play...small flashes from the Czechs here, but a lot of Swiss control...

Re: The Official Olympic Hockey Thread
Imagine how good Sweden would be in this tourney if they had a shut down goalie.

Strange feeling to worry for a player's safety watching him take a seat in the penalty box.Pitts wrote:Wow, I wonder what the other things are!James Mirtle @mirtle 39m

Re: The Official Olympic Hockey Thread
They hired him. I don't think the coaches NEED to be from that country to coach, and I'm sure there aren't many Latvian coaches.
"We were looking for a neutral, authoritative coach with lots of experience and good hockey knowledge," said Lipmans (head of Latvia hockey body). "This is exactly what we found with Ted Nolan."

Re: The Official Olympic Hockey Thread
Given the percentage of German sounding names on the Swiss roster, it seems like they should have gone with "Schweiz", instead of "Suisse", on their jerseys.

Luca Cunti. A shame that Adrian Wichser isn't there.
