I think a Team USA win is most likely. They don't need to sneak through with a tie.

Re: The Official Olympic Hockey Thread
Actually I keep forgetting that they do shootouts in the round robin, so I guess we can't tie.

Anyone know how to see just highlights of games? It doesn't look like NBC is into that and everything else is Canadian, which requires a Canadian IP address. It's kind of driving me nuts.

THey have highlights of the US game only on the NBC Olympics website and then the CBC has highlights from all of the hockey games.MRandall25 wrote:IOC doesn't release highlights.

Zetterberg out for the rest of the tournament according to Mckenzie. Huge huge blow for Sweden.

Yeah, no Henrik or Henrik now, the center depth in Sweden is badly damaged. They have Nick Backstrom, who can score 15 goals in 15 seconds, but they're really going to need Patrik Berglund to put on his big boy pants here...

Dejan Kovacevic @Dejan_Kovacevic
So this is interesting: Orpik, Martin both told me they're expecting to be paired vs. Russia. Bylsma declines to confirm. #TeamUSA
What's "interesting" about it?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't they have to withdraw from the tournament because they no longer meet their Henrik quota?mikey287 wrote:Yeah, no Henrik or Henrik now, the center depth in Sweden is badly damaged. Nah, they're still good. Those chose 4 - Zetterberg, Sedin, Tallinder, and Lundqvist - just to make sure they have one in the lineup at all times.meow wrote:Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't they have to withdraw from the tournament because they no longer meet their Henrik quota?mikey287 wrote:Yeah, no Henrik or Henrik now, the center depth in Sweden is badly damaged. Get the Hola plugin for Chrome, and use Canadian VPN to watch.wondermoose wrote:Anyone know how to see just highlights of games? It doesn't look like NBC is into that and everything else is Canadian, which requires a Canadian IP address. It's kind of driving me nuts.
I can't get it to work for HNIC games but it does seem to work for other content.

Re: The Official Olympic Hockey Thread
Is it weird to anyone else that the channel USA is covering all of team Canada's games, but none of team USA's?

Re: The Official Olympic Hockey Thread
Canada is wearing all black and Austria is wearing a jersey that looks like something Canada would wear. These jerseys are really confusing.

I thought Austria was Canada at first glance.
