Paul Stastny lighting up his dad's homeland. Nice!

And Dustin Brown scores, for a change.

I'm listening to the game on my laptop at work, and I haven't done anything constructive all morning. LOL

A lot of over-passing on scoring chances by USA here. Understandably so, nobody wants to appear selfish when they're up 7-1.

Slovakia doesnt suck... that USA team has so much speed and really uses the width of the ice well on entries.

Mcdonagh and Martin stood out to me defensively, the whole unit played strong.

Love that Stastny line, oshie is a brute and max Pac is on fire right now

The Parise line and the Powerplay are the only concerns I have. Great game.

I'd consider moving Parise with Kesler and Kane. (Brown is not as good as those two).

Then, let Brown-Callahan-Backes play a slower, more-physical game.

I wouldn't move Brown. Every line seems to be well balanced with a scorer and guys who can check.

IMO, US needs the balance if they want to be successful. Can't overload one line with all the offense.

Yep, they may run out of scoring at some point, but USA is a well-built team. They spent at least 2/3 of that game in the Slovak end.

I like this idea but I'd give it one more game. Brown really provides a net front and physical presence for the kane kesler combo. I wouldn't mind leaving the lines as is and using parise in that spot later in the game if need be.

Would not touch the pavelski or stastny lines.
