Re: George R.R. Martin
For those of you who may be caught up with the books and are looking for an ASoIaF fix, the new sci-fi/fantasy compilation book Dangerous Woman (which GRRM co-edited) includes a 35,000-word novella about the Dance of the Dragons:
" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Considering all of the stories in this compilation are supposed to focus on strong female characters, it can probably be assumed that the focus of the story is princess Rhaenyra Targaryen.

Re: George R.R. Martin
Been rewatching season 1 and 2 ahead of the release of the season 3 blu-ray. I forgot just how truly lame and painful the Daenerys storyline was during season 2. I realize it wasn't that exciting in the book either, but they made it worse, IMO.
Also a reminder that "A Foreshadowing" airs @ 8:45 tonight.

Nothing about her story interests me at all. The selmy and mormont chapters are way more interesting. It takes a lot for me not to skip her chapters.

Re: George R.R. Martin
I think her story is going to get more interesting in the next book. Things were set up at the end of the previous book to snap her out of her funk. I believe we are going to see some good old fashioned fire and blood now... which is what we've largely been waiting for since the epilogue of the first book. Wherever she finishes in the game, I want some dragons bbq'ing the **** out of some fools. Wake up, GRRM.

If you didn't catch it on tv:

Nothing earth shattering, naturally, but a few slightly longer looks at some of the things we've seen in the trailer, actors answering a few fan questions such as favorite badass quote, some general talk about the upcoming season.

I think it's pretty exciting that they indicated this season won't have much build-up, they'll be hitting the ground running.

I'm mid way through the 3rd book (have slown down). I need to go back and watch the first 3 seasons again just to see what I've missed by reading the books and catching the differences. I'm now heading into some chapters that the show hasn't touched upon yet.

Re: George R.R. Martin
Peter Dinklage has to be the only non-brit on the show, it's a like a reverse walking dead in hearing an interview with him.

Re: George R.R. Martin
Apparently, there are people who are upset that Drogon is "too big".

Gwendoline Christie is even more terrifying than Brienne of Tarth.

I would agree if that shot were from the upcomin 6th book. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt that they may be confused. Im sure thats not it though.the wicked child wrote:Apparently, there are people who are upset that Drogon is "too big". :face:
