How is that? I've never tried it. If I recall correctly, I believe it's rated very average (which certainly does not necessarily mean that is the case).

It's kind of like the one from Shiner, that I posted about last week:Kraftster wrote:How is that? I've never tried it. If I recall correctly, I believe it's rated very average (which certainly does not necessarily mean that is the case).
Very refreshing, but not really a saison.....But hey, it was $8 for a sixer.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Had an Almaza (Lebanese) with dinner at the Lebanese Taverna in Betheada, MD.
Then a few Port City Porters at "Barking Dog" just up the street.

Be sure to get there early and see Tim Barry. He is great. I like Avail more than his solo stuff but his solo stuff is really, really good.Troy Loney wrote:Nice, going to the Hold Steady show next week. will have to do the preshow there.Kraftster wrote:Caliente has Hopslam bottles in its coolers, Troy. I got a growler of Enjoy By... I am about to start on right now. Late Penguins game + Atlanta is still kinda shutdown/no work tomorrow= Drinking a growler of Enjoy By... tonight. Good stuff.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
haha, I still love Avail. Great, intense music. Tim's solo stuff is the complete opposite of Avail. There is intensity to it but nothing like Avail.Troy Loney wrote:Wow, i completely forgot Avail existed.letsgoalpens wrote:Be sure to get there early and see Tim Barry. He is great. Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Want Hopslam and don't want to commit to a case or even a sixer? Looks like The Beer Market put it on tap this afternoon.

Since there's a lot of hype about this beer from the board, I might go down for one or two.

3 Pints of Mad Elf and a schooner (I think they're 22 oz at the place I go to) of PBR last night... Needless to say, I was feeling pretty good after all that.

Abita Grapefruit Harvest, not bad. Not overbearing on the hops or grapefruit.

Yeah, I really like that and their Urweisse (although that doesn't seem to be around much anymore). I spent one summer studying in Germany, and the Ayinger weissen taste the most like the beer I'd get at the little, local brewery in the town I stayed in.the wicked child wrote:Ayinger Brauweisse. I'm having a Victory Winter Warmer--it's wheat beer with a little more body and spice than is typical. Pretty good.

Do you mean Winter Cheers? I thought it pretty much tasted like Penn Weizen when I had it (which is a good thing, IMO)
