I might be the only one that cares about the Slovaks, but I thought I'd put it out there anyway.
Forwards:
Milan Bartovic, Slovan Bratislava (KHL)
Marian Gaborik, Columbus Blue Jackets
Michal Handzus, Chicago Blackhawks
Marcel Hossa, Dinamo Riga (KHL)
Marian Hossa, Chicago Blackhawks
Tomas Jurco, Detroit Red Wings
Tomas Kopecky, Florida Panthers
Tomas Marcinko, HC Kosice (Slovakia)
Michel Miklik, Slovan Bratislava (KHL)
Peter Ölvecky, Slovan Bratislava (KHL)
Richard Panik, Tampa Bay Lightning
Tomas Surovy, Dynamo Minsk (KHL)
Tomas Tatar, Detroit Red Wings
Tomas Zaborsky, Salavat Yulayev Ufa (Russia)
Defensemen:
Ivan Baranka, Avangard Omsk (RUS)
Dominik Granak, Dynamo Moscow (RUS)
Zdeno Chara, Boston Bruins
Martin Marincin, Edmonton Oilers,
Andrej Meszaros, Philadelphia Flyers
Andrej Sekera, Carolina Hurricanes
Michal Sersen, Slovan Bratislava (SVK/KHL)
Lubomir Visnovsky, New York Islanders
Goaltenders:
Peter Budaj, Montreal Canadiens
Jaroslav Halak, St. Louis Blues
Jan Laco, Donbass Donetsk (KHL)
I'm pleasantly surprised and proud that they were able to even find 14 NHL players to field a team. I think I'm most excited to see how Tatar performs on the Olympic stage. I believe he has the most potential of Slovak forward in the NHL when all is said and done. It'll be gritty rooting for a team with Hossa (not one, but both brothers) and Chara on it but it's only for 12 days.
It's going to be rough, but I'd like for them to beat the Czechs (with the Czechs age it's certainly doable) and play in the Bronze medal game.

Good to see Tomas Surovy is still out there and playing. I really liked him.

That roster feels like it's missing someone.

Surovy, really?
Not a bad roster. I agree that at least on paper they look better than the Czechs.

Re: Slovak Olympic Team
I was wondering why the name Michal Sersen looked familiar. Not only was he former teammates with Sid in Rimouski, but he was also a former Penguins' draft pick (5th rounder in 2004.)

Re: Slovak Olympic Team
Hossa just revealed that he has been playing with the broken toe lately (last 4 NHL games).
