I'm deeply saddened to say that James Avery has passed away. He was a second father to me. I will miss him greatly.

RIP James, Uncle Phil was my favorite part of Fresh Prince. Just recently found out too like MRandall pointed out that he did the voice of Shredder. He was way too young.

I think the two people that I was actually "upset" about dying this past year was Uncle Phil and Tony Soprano.

Blue Dog Artist George Rodrigue.

BEPF would probably be most exposed to his art with the work he did in New Orleans. I purchased the wife a book of his works as a gift a few years back as his art commands a pretty penny.

I'm surprised it took this long to write one of these articles.

Link to the "hoax" page is in the article. I won't waste my time linking it or even doing a c&p from the site itself.
Rodas/Walker coroners report released

Rodas was driving at more than 100 miles per hour when he crashed his Porsche carrying friend and Hollywood star Paul Walker.
The report suggests that both drivers had been killed before the flames overtook the vehicle.

Both driver and passenger were found in a defensive position, with Walker having a broken jawbone, collarbone, pelvis ribs and spine.

Rodas died very quickly from severe blunt head, neck and chest trauma.

Heard yesterday that jazz guitarist Jim Hall passed away a few weeks back. I'm a big Pat Metheny fan and discovered Hall through his CD with Metheny.

RIP Alicia Rhett, the oldest living cast member of Gone With The Wind.

Image
Alicia Rhett, an actress who played one of the sisters of Ashley Wilkes in "Gone with the Wind," died Friday. She was 98.

Rhett died of natural causes about 5 p.m. at the Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Community in Charleston, said Gadsden spokeswoman Kimberly Farfone Borts.

Rhett was the oldest surviving cast member of the 1939 film starring Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable, Farfone said.

In the movie, India Wilkes is a sister of Ashley Wilkes, with whom Scarlett O'Hara is deeply in love before Ashley marries Melanie and Scarlett becomes involved with Rhett Butler.

In addition to being an actress, Alicia Rhett also was a portrait artist and illustrator. She sketched her fellow "Gone with the Wind" actors between takes of the film, Farfone said.

He made the Middle East a worse place and made this nation less secure. On top of his many (likely vodka-laced) atrocities.

I have to say, I don't think I've ever seen the word "deported" to describe the removal settlers from gaza. Since Jesus was born in Palestine, I hope someone keeps an eye out for him at the Israeli detention facilities then.
