what exactly is your point? my point is that Kunitz has really put up the numbers the last few years playing with superstar centers. give him an average center and he's probably not scoring anywhere near what he has and probably would never made Team Canada. I think he'll play with Sid in Sochi and I think that line will be awesome.Crankshaft wrote:Guess what, Andrew Cogliano isn't on Team Canada. Carter is a questionable choice this year as well. Probably would have gone with St. Louis, Hall or Sequin instead.shoeshine boy wrote:apparently Nash is a point-per-game player when playing internationally. wouldn't have been my choice but whatever.....Gaucho wrote:Not sure what Nash did to deserve being on the roster.

Kunitz - Crosby - Stamkos if he is healthy. Kunitz - Crosby - Carter if Stamkos does not go

Carter and Nash should not be on the roster. much more productive and dynamic players to choose from.columbia wrote:I'm surprised Carter made it.

Who do you leave off, then?SolidSnake wrote:Seabrook and Keith would be like Crosby and Kunitz would of made more senseMRandall25 wrote:From what I gather, Hamhuis was the bubble guy on D. They went with him so they could get the L-R pairings.
Doughty, Weber, Subban, or Pietrangelo (who will probably be their extra)?
I don't really see an argument that Seabrook would be a better option than any of those guys (except maybe Pietrangelo, but again, he's probably the extra).

I disagree about Carter. Aside from his injuries, he's a productive player every year. Right handed shot, finisher, great skater, strong, size.Pitts wrote:Carter and Nash should not be on the roster. much more productive and dynamic players to choose from.columbia wrote:I'm surprised Carter made it.

Carter is also an excellent penalty killer.

And let's not forget, Kunitz-Getzlaf-Perry was a thing in his Anaheim days. They could certainly be reunited if Babcock & co. want to try something different.pfim wrote:No, but they don't need 4 lines of scorers either. He's an obvious speed pick for the larger ice surface. Doesn't hurt than he can play both RW and C.murphydump55 wrote:I disagree about Carter. The Canadian Power Play is mighty good on paper.
Kunitz in front of the net running interference for Crosby, Stamkos and Tavares. Ye gods. And if you survive a minute the second unit is just as good.

Re: Team Canada
Nash over St. Louis is tough to swallow, even if they just wanted more size. Leaving off a high character guy who just also happens to be one of the best playmaking wingers is risky.
LOL at the Giroux omission though.

The Rick Nash hate is way overblown. That guy is a huge body that is money on the boards. Seeing him play live really changed how I viewed him.

Re: Team Canada
If youre going to put kunitz on then you should be putting seabrook on. Seabrook should have been top 4 even if Keith wasnt around. Unreal.
Too bad US took first pick of the players, maybe someone will get hurt and they'll be able to grab Seabrook off waivers.

Does anyone remember just how bad Luongo was in the last Olympics? I wouldn't want him on the team.

Not when you've watched him the last 4 or so years. He's slow. He's lackadaisical in his own end. He genuinely looks like he does not care one bit.Pavel Bure wrote:The Rick Nash hate is way overblown. That guy is a huge body that is money on the boards. He's a waste of talent. If he actually put in consistent effort, he'd be one of the best in the league. But he doesn't, and he's not.
