Just read the Leafs and Wings have restricted HBO's locker room access. So a boring 24/7 becomes even more so.

I don't think they feel lucky considering all the injuries to key players.

Johansen has been so good this year. Really hope he can continue to be consistent.

Also Boone Jenner got himself on the scoresheet.

I just caught the replay. Didn't really look dirty at all. Actually looked fairly innocent.

What am I missing?

The Wild need Harding back. Bäckström has been terrible lately and just let in a real stinker. Should make a nice gif.

If you would have said this two years ago, I'd call you insane.

Backstrom is showing his age. He got very old, very quick. He was a workhorse for years and the tread is low on the tires now.

You know what it is too...he goes through these stretches, even when the treads were a little more evident, where he'll just kind of "lay down" in the net a lot more...he'll get his legs a lot more unorthodoxly involved...and then he just kind of goes back to normal...

I was never sure what to think about him besides having a good glove...

He is calm and technically sound. His glove is (was) spectacular. I think his best asset is (was) his consistency. He brought the same thing every night. Few soft goals and always gave an offensively challenged Minnesota team the chance to win 2-1. Playing on a team with that poor of offensive output is stressful on goalies and he always handled it well.

Backstrom is in that category of vokoun in the past decade where he was probably the best olayer on a crap team. Completely dominate but never win.

That's the worst goal I've ever seen in a NHL game.

I thought this was hyperbole. Talbot on nittymaki is probably in the discussion though.

That was the first goal that came to my mind, yeah.

I would also submit the Caron goal vs Washington from 180 feet or so.

I wonder if that puck doesn't go in if they don't shorten the leg pads by a few inches?

That might be the first real clear example of the shorter pads leaving an opening for the puck to go through.

That was one of the worst "clean" shots I've seen go in...Talbot's goal was clean I guess, but Niittymaki wasn't looking...Backstrom is actually attempting to play the shot, he throws everything but the kitchen sink at it, and it just sails across the line...

The Toskala goal from 160 feet, the Caron knuckler, the Paul Martin bank off the boards through Thomas, etc. at least all took a turn for the worst at some point...this is just a whiff...like that time Jean-Sebastien Giguere ducked under a slapshot goal from Brian Rolston (?)

I counted nittymakki because it wasnt fluky like a knuckler or something, it wasnt bad luck, it was entirely on him. But yeah i guess it really isnt the same.
