I watched the goal happen, and the first thing I said was, not about the skill so much involved but how many players in the league think to do that and then attempt to do that...it's cheeky to the third degree and the execution was pretty well impeccable...combine that with the fact that it capped off a furious comeback in a short amount of time, it's a pretty nifty goal and deserves credit...

If this one gets chalked up to luck, then a lot of saves and goals from over the years should as well...people say it's better to be lucky than good, well, here's a case where a player is both and it's tremendous...

No more so than the year Ovechkin had 50 goals and 109 points in just 72 games and the Caps dominated the league but Henrik won the Hart with approximately 2 goals and 110 assists.

The Hart is always a weird award. There's really no consensus in the media about what most valuable means.

The Hart is always a weird award. There's really no consensus in the media about what most valuable means.

Last year was one that was incredibly bad given that AO was probably the worst "star" player for 60 games. Basically last year showed that 20-25 games is all that is required to be considered the most valuable player in the league. It's like awarding the Vezina to a goalie who puts up a 3.0 GAA, .880 Sv% for the year but has 5 shutouts in the last 2 months.
