The gold medal game is at 7 AM.
That presents a dilemma for those of us who like to crack a few, while watching hockey.

Frying up some scotch eggs to have with a boulevard tank 7 sounds pretty ideal for a gold medal game.

Re: The Semi-official Olympic Hockey Thread
That's the glory of a DVR. Watch it whenever you want, and no chance of NBC spoiling it for you (unless they do a tape delay and broadcast the results early, like in Summer). You just have to keep away from media so it doesn't get spoiled, which isn't especially hard for hockey. It's the same way with Formula 1 and that's how I watch every race.columbia wrote:The gold medal game is at 7 AM.

Re: The Semi-official Olympic Hockey Thread
Interesting that Fowler and Shattenkirk now look to be good candidates to make the US squad. I wonder if Niskanen's name has come up at all. That'd be quite the feat if he made the team.
Also, Maatta is going to play a lot of games this year. Though looking up last year's run with London, he did play 88 games... (season + playoffs + WJC20 + Int Jr.)

It was announced by the Canucks today that Luongo's lower body injury (suffered yesterday) will prevent him for playing in the Olympics.

Chechens bomb train station and trolley bus in Volgograd. Which is a key transportation stop between Moscow and Sochi.

Chechens have threatened to "disrupt" the Olympics, and it looks like the "disruption" has begun.

So when are final rosters announced?
Really interested to see what Canada does with Neal making this push. A few guys with little injuries too.
