Looks like Strome is coming up for to orrow. I cant wait to see him in the NHL. Hes one of the first players outside of tge Pens that ive cared to follow at that level.

Caps tied a game late then won in extra time? Let me show you my shocked face...

Seriously This is getting old. I have never seen a team do this so consistently over YEARS

I never used to care about that but now with them being in tge division, theyre going to put a lot more 3 point games in the diision. Not good. Fortunately their ceiling for the playoffs is lower than that of the pens. So meh.

it is, but there were just as many people saying it was plywood as there were saying it was plexiglass with the wrap on it.

Can't remember the year but in the not too distant past I remember the Pens winning a sh*t ton of shootouts. But it was no contest when it comes to the Caps being behind by multiple goals or tying it with the final minutes

Got to see a fair amount of him while scouting Brett Ritchie, they played on a line together with a lunch-pail-wielder named Mitchell Theoret, who I think the Isles were wrong not to sign. He's a glue guy, effective on the boards and on the forecheck...could be a decent complementary guy down the line...

Anyhow, Strome and Ritchie were a sight to behold...they ran roughshod over all comers...this guy can make some passes, serious backhand sauce too...wasn't all that high on him when he was first drafted, then I got a little longer look at him in Niagara...ew, filthy stuff...

Back against the wall.. I'd say steroids
What is even more amazing, he has 26 goals, 9 assists and is still a minus 10. He is on the ice for a LOT of goals against.

Caps have way too many Shootout wins. It could hurt them, if they are in a race to get into the playoffs.

Yeah, I posted that graphic a few days ago. Over 30 points (IIRC), but only 8 regulation/overtime wins.

He plays defense the same way he plays offense. Stand around and hope it comes to him, except his team doesn't have the puck in the defensive zone.

I'm worried that he disappears for a couple of months again. Seems like a good recipe to win the Hart.

Wait, you're allowed to score goals while on the PK?

Their PK is suspect, but yeah, that's about it. Solid down the middle, especially. I really enjoy watching them.

I know they played last night, but the Hawks had better wake up for the 2nd. Down to the Chernobyl Scum, as prof calls them, 1-0 after the 1st.

Nvm: Just realized I've been watching it on DVR. I mean, THE HELL?! :face:

The overhead view clearly showed that the puck changed direction ever so slightly before crossing the goal line, but of course we have to suffer through 3 minutes of Edzo analyzing the completely inconclusive ice level view... ("Look! There! The heel of ... right there! Look! Look!!!")

Seriously, I just realized that now. I'm so fortunate that I don't embarrass easily.

The hub had it on and started it around 8:30. Seeing it's being played in Chicago, I thought that was the regular puck drop.

Four goals on six shots this period. Emery is probably getting frustrated. Wonder if Emery is going to get in a fight with Raanta to energize the team?
