This weekend is always amateur hour. I set the cruise at 75, and the left lane squatters were horrible on I-80 the whole way across PA on Friday.viva la ben wrote:Pretty much everyone who drives in the left lane.

People that complain about their financial situation, but they come black Friday... "ZOMG, LOOK AT THIS THING I GOT ON SALE!!!" If you are buying something for that much money, what does it matter if it's black friday or two months ago when you were saying you were in financial doom? It just doesn't make any sense to me.

I usually give those people a short honk. Every once in awhile they'll realize they can turn.Jim wrote:Sticking with driving... people that don't make right turns on red.

Are you sitting in the intersection blocking the traffic that has the green light? People who do that really PMO but that's rational.Crankshaft wrote:People that honk when I'm sitting at a red light.

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
The local radio shows that tell you to check their website. I will channel surf sometimes in the car to/from work and come across any of the radio shows. They will talk about something and then tell you to check their website. I am in the car, I can't check your website and when I get to work I am too busy to check out five stories/videos/audio etc. And usually they are items which can be found on 100 other websites. 96.1 and 100.7 morning shows are pretty bad at this. For example, "You will not believe what Sidney Crosby did over the weekend. Check out our website to find out!" or "That was the cutest and sweetest video ever! It is on our website for you to see." or "Want to win tickets to the biggest concert of the century? Find out how on our website!!"
I understand you want to drive traffic for your website and keep people listening, but come on. It is like everything has to be sensationalized. The local TV news is guilty of that as well.
Maybe I have higher expectations for those local morning shows then I should or why do I even listen to them..I don't know really. Bah.

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
That one can make rights on red under certain circumstances does not mean that one is required to do so. I can think of at least one intersection in my neighborhood that is not marked "no turn on red" but IMO should be marked that way because poor visibility to the left makes it dangerous to turn. So whenever I'm there I generally wait for the green. I have been honked at, but if anyone honks at me they are guaranteeing that I'm sitting there until it turns green.Jim wrote:Sticking with driving... people that don't make right turns on red.

Re: Your irrational pet peeves
thanks Cyber Monday. I always wanted to fish through 76 emails to find one email from a co-worker that might have been important. I was out of office today, which is why they were emailing my personal email.
That doesn't include the additional 40 or so emails that I deleted afterwards, or the additional emails that I ranted about on Black Friday.
