I still kinda follow the ECHL so seeing the movement in the team (new team, old teams, transfers, etc.) interests me.



Logo doesn't look bad and I realize the connection between fuel and Indy, but not sure how I like it as a team name. I'm guessing they couldn't secure the rights to the old Racers' name from the WHA

That's a good question. DId defunct WHA franchise names' trademarks follow to the NHL after the absorbtion of the 4 teams in 1979?

Given that two of the past three professional hockey teams in Indy were the Checkers and the Racers, I would have been surprised if the name wasn't racing related. Fuel just seems a little too WNBA for me though, at least initially. I'm sure it will grow on me over time.
