I think the correct answer to this question has to cause at least a good portion of posters to respond, "ah, blah, he sucks." Another portion barely knows who the player is. And the final group see him as an invaluable leader for his team.

I don't think Tavares gets as much spotlight as he should get. NYI not playing so well keeps him kind of hidden. His stats are up there and anywhere else on a team that was any good he would be hailed in the elite class of players.
