Obviously the other goalie was not afraid enough since Emery wasn't playing.

Of course this is NPR normally, but it's a four day break for the Pens. Why not? Here's Giroux showing off his effort as the game wound down towards a Flyer victory:

what made it even better is that a former Penguin scored the tieing goal.

looks like the pass was put in a spot that someone staal's height could reach, but someone giroux's height couldn't. there are plenty of ways to discredit "G", but i dunno about this one.

Yea, the only thing I can think of is if Giroux might have defended a bit different if he knew it was a lefty in front. But that is some serious nitpicking.Crankshaft wrote:buzzkillington.jpgshmenguin wrote:looks like the pass was put in a spot that someone staal's height could reach, but someone giroux's height couldn't. there are plenty of ways to discredit "G", but i dunno about this one.

There were no highlights. Just like when they played a week or so ago, it was slow and unimaginative. The Flyers attempting to slow the game down and play defense in front of the horrid Emery. The Devils attempting to control the puck and stick it to the boards for 60 minutes and the Flyers with no way to pry it off the boards. Only thing mildly entertaining is Emery's inability to tend goal in a meaningful fashion and Andrej Meszaros being responsible for all three goals against in the game, most obviously, surrendering point #1699 to Jaromir Jagr in the dying seconds.

The sad truth is some idiot GM will take Meszaros off their hands even though he is a FA at year's end.
