I ended up with 7 trump, yes. But it was being able to get that A hearts out of the way that won the hand - else would have lost. Non trumps were JH, KH and 9H. Widow had 2 clubs, so went from 5 to 7.

full widow was 9S, 4C, QC, 8D, KH. Tossed 9S, 6S, 10S, 10D, 8D.

I wouldn't have bid 8 with what you had. But getting two trump in the widow made the hand pretty unbeatable on a 7 bid. The hearts would have had to be concentrated in one of our hands and the whoever had the JC had to have atleat one protector. It was possible, just unlikely.

at the time of bid... had JOKER, JH, 9H, JS, 10S, 6S, AC, 9C, 8C and 10D. It was a prayer bid really, that there was somehing useful in the widow.
