I just went out to drop him from my fantasy team, and saw an alert that said 987 fantasy teams dropped Varly.

It is now 988.

I want to hear all sides before passing judgement. But this sounds bad.

I think the point is that the Avs will likely suspend him and therefore he'll miss out on the necessary training and not be in game shape for the Olympics. any trial or conviction likely wouldn't happen for several months.

I honestly don't know if they will suspend him. Roy has had brushes with the law over domestic disputes in the past. And we honestly don't know all the details. We have to see what shakes out. He may still be allowed to play.
