He's my starter in a sim hockey league. He played 5 games then got hurt. He's due back tomorrow, in a backup role, and I fully expect he'll get hurt within another 5-10 games.
Now they say Ward's out for 3-4 weeks.
Pekka Rinne is having arthroscopic hip surgery and will be out a month or more. Rough times health-wise for goalies right now.

Is there a reason why the NHL scheduled 9 straight road games to start the year for the NYR?
Kind of unfair if you ask me.

Lecavalier's hat trick brings out possibly the most mixed emotions ive ever felt with regards to hockey.

I fight the urge to vomit with every sighting of him in that hideous Flyers sweater. I still can't believe he signed with them.

Isles traded Matt Molson, a 1st in 2014, and 2nd in 2015 for Thomas Vanek

The Rangers play their home opener tonight? Did they renovate MSG or something?

Ducks ticking me off. Down 2 goals to the Flyers. Plus, a no-goal for the Ducks because of a high stick. Hiller not very sharp, although his D isn't helping him much.
C'mon, Brucie, get your ducks in line!

He's fine!
Have I ever mentioned how I feel about Teemu Selanne?
Tie game! Palmieri with a breakaway. Helluva move on Mason, who's been a wall for the Flyers.

In case anyone is interested, Giroux was called for diving tonight and there was no other penalty called with it. Just a straight up dive when Mathieu Perreault contacted him from behind near the boards.

He sure was.
Oh, and the boos--how they rained down...

Yeah, my roommate gave birth to a whole litter of kittens right here in the living room. The super-homer Flyers announcers seemed pretty content with it though, and there's a fair case. Perreault is not a strong player and he called it right away that Giroux just gave himself up.

Oh, yeah, Prof! Can't believe the Ducks handed them a PP on a TMM right after, though!
