Betting Lindy Ruff is quite happy to be out of that job, even though Dallas isn't exactly setting the world on fire either. I'm guessing Dallas has to be a better situation than the Buffalo mess.

I don't know how Darcy Regier still has a job, let alone Ron Rolston (though I believe that to get rid of one, you need to get rid of both).

Can you imagine being on that team knowing you've got 70 more games of this? I live here in Sabres country, and people are just disgusted with them already. Train wreck.

Dirty hit, but not as bad as most of what we've seen this year. This hit was even legal just a few years ago.Shakes wrote:Beyond dirty. At least 10. Worst Sabres team since before Lindy.mikey287 wrote:Gotta think that's at least 8-10 games for John Scott, right? I hope Loui is ok.

I don't remember an elbow to the squash ever being legal.shmenguin wrote:Dirty hit, but not as bad as most of what we've seen this year. Was it an elbow? I thought it was shoulder to head. Only saw the little gif on my phone. That would certainly change things...

Re: Other NHL games 2013-2014 season
I only saw it on my phone as well. I looked like an elbow to me, but it could have just been a follow through. I will say this, I'm tired of listening the NHL on Sirius every morning and all they talk about is the suspendable hit(s) from the nigh before. Time for Shanny to make an example out of someone with a huge suspension.shmenguin wrote:Was it an elbow? I thought it was shoulder to head. Only saw the little gif on my phone. I had trouble telling what part of the arm he contacted the ehad with, but it was clear that his entire goal was to contact the head. IMO, it doesn't matter what part of the arm actually made the contact, he went head hunting and connected with the target. We need to see a zero tolerance on this crap, and not just when it's Cooke or Torres.

I feel so bad for Buffalo but still thought this joke was funny: what's the difference between the Buffalo Sabres and a square?Shakes wrote:Can you imagine being on that team knowing you've got 70 more games of this? John Scott has no place in the current NHL...10 game suspension I'd say....

Last night Matthew Barnaby tweeted. "Speaking as a Sabres alumni The people of Buffalo deserve better. Terry Pegula is a great guy, but he's a fan."
Nice subtle way of saying he definitely isn't owner material.

I love reading other teams' blog comments
If Scott gets any more than 5
Then there’s no more denying a bias against buffalo and for the original six.
I don’t think he even deserves 5 – the hit wasn’t that bad, and he’s not a repeat offender.

I was referring more to the "They are going to suspend someone that is a waste of a roster spot for us, therefore it's irreversible proof there is a conspiracy against us"Idoit40fans wrote:Well hes not a repeat offender.

That looks eerily similar to what Cooke did to Savard

I dunno. That was just the first thing I thought of when I saw it.

Yup, shades of Cooke on Savard; also reminded me a bit of Mike Richards on David Booth, a hit that happened four years ago today.

Re: Other NHL games 2013-2014 season
Gotcha. I assumed you were talking about side-swiping and player angle. The difference to me is that when I watch the Scott hit I see vicious intent, launching, and an obvious elbow. Cooke's hit always has (and I guess always will) looks like a shoulder to the head of a player in a bad position. Dangerous, but not dirty at the time. And while the result was certainly far worse, it wasn't the blatant dirty hit (based on the rules at the time) that Cooke's hit on McDonagh was.MRandall25 wrote:JS© wrote:

Regardless of all that crap, John Scott is a complete waste of space that has no business playing in the NHL.
