Edmonton wants to trade Yakupov for 2 UFA's? What?
And everybody knows that Vanek has pretty much signed with the Wild already.

he did a maneuver against the boards that put himself in a very vulnerable position. the guy should have let up, i guess. but dumb stuff from kronwall there.Kaizer wrote:so, he got kronwalled?meow wrote:Kronwall stretchered off in Colorado. Major boarding call. Hope he is going to be ok.

Live by the sword, die by the sword was the first thing I thought of. Kronwall, for some unknown reason, is applauded for throwing borderline hits. He definitely put himself in a vulnerable spot, but McCleod could have let up some.shmenguin wrote:he did a maneuver against the boards that put himself in a very vulnerable position. the guy should have let up, i guess. but dumb stuff from kronwall there.Kaizer wrote:so, he got kronwalled?meow wrote:Kronwall stretchered off in Colorado. Re: Canaan's thread of NPR chaos.
There's no way they can legislate that kind of hit out of the game. Kronwall should have absorbed contact before the boards and before playing the puck or at the boards.
When the islanders were forechecking the bejesus out of us last spring, we turned the puck over rather than putting ourselves in this type of position all series long. There's just no way that you can go at mach speed, stop, lower your head, and expect the guy chasing you to be respectful of that 100% of the time.

Same here. He's a scumbag -- I'm not the least bit sorry he got hurt.meow wrote:Live by the sword, die by the sword was the first thing I thought of. Kronwall, for some unknown reason, is applauded for throwing borderline hits.

Re: Canaan's thread of NPR chaos.
My first thought when he got hurt was that the standard for suspending a hit should be set by the person suffering the hit. What would they have done?

Penner getting knocked out last night was pretty sketchy.... Hes bent over and hit by a smaller player but the guy does kinda explode upward into his head

Mcleod suspended 5 games due to Shannys belief he had time to minimize his check and changed his path. No previous history...big knock

Twitter functions the same way for celebrities as it does for everyone else. You can tweet pictures sent to you. Has no one ever used twitter?

Per McKenzie, Phaneuf looking for a 7-8 year deal in the $7M range.
Allowing for ridiculous starting points in contract negotiations, that's still ridiculous.

Phaneuf is 28 and is a helluva defenseman. I don't see that price being that out of the range.columbia wrote:Per McKenzie, Phaneuf looking for a 7-8 year deal in the $7M range.
