Matt Cooke
After 6 games, Matt Cooke is currently leading the Wild in scoring. He has 6 points (3,3) in 6 games. Brodin, a defensemen, is second in scoring with 5 points (2,3). I just thought that was funny even though it is a small sample size. By comparison, Dany Heatley has 1 point (0,1) in 6 games. What happened to that guy?

please tell me that you're joking or at least they don't have Wikipedia where you live....Jim wrote: By comparison, Dany Heatley has 1 point (0,1) in 6 games. What happened to that guy?
Heatley's never been the same player and this year's probably worse with his realization that it's been 10 years.

Re: Matt Cooke
What? In Ottawa, Heatley had a couple 50 goal seasons and then several ~40 goal seasons after that. I'm not sure what you're getting at.

Dany Heatley hate is irrational.

Yep. Frankly the guy deserve props for lasting as long as he did--he was never the best skater or anything. He was one of those players that could just finish.meow wrote:Dany Heatley hate is irrational.

Re: Matt Cooke
And now he's a blackhole for offense (and defense) on the Granlund-Pominville line. He'll need to find himself in the pressbox soon enough...maybe when Coyle returns.

At a glance, Winnipeg has replaced Atlanta.

Re: Matt Cooke
Very glad to see Cooke doing well. Saw him score on a wrap-around the other night and miss on a breakaway.

Re: Matt Cooke
Yeo said the other day that they expect 82 points from Cooke this year. He was not at all sarcastic.

That the numbers have gone down as his age has gone up?Idoit40fans wrote:I just looked it up. Notice anything wrong with the stats?

Or, when Dany Heatly gets a point, the Wild win?

Also, he is terrible when his center isn't Jason Spezza or Joe Thornton.
