Full Season or Shotgun play?

I was upset waking this morning that it was another off day. So it's poll time!

I think I know what the results will be, but what do you prefer? A full season over 6 months and 82 games, or a 3 month sprint of ~50 games with very few multi day offs in between games.

To be fair, I think there is a game every .469(82/175) days this season as opposed to every .485(48/99) days last season. I'm not 100% sure that its 175 days of season, but its pretty condensed witht he olympics in play.

I prefer a real season. And then add in what I40 says where there's the same pace as last year except for a longer amount of time...

That's fair. Doesn't feel that way at all. Would have never guessed the numbers played out like that.

I was looking and I think Novermber is 14 games, December 15 and then I believe March is like 18 games. I think October was 12 or so, thats pretty sparse.

The Blue Jackets are going 5 days (Saturday-Thursday) between games 2 and 3 on their schedule.

Might be just me, but there really shouldn't be a reason for a 5 day break.

I understand if its after a long 4+ road trip from east to west or west to east but that's about it.

They're going from Long Island to Buffalo. It might have taken them less time to walk from Nassau Coliseum to First Niagara (or whatever they call HSBC Arena now) than the time between games.
