For what it's worth, the slash was 100% accidental. Which means it was 100% careless.

I'm guessing that the resulting injury is why Kassian got a more harsh punishment. I don't agree on punishment based on results when it comes to plays like this.

I think this is perfectly consistent with the always arbitrary punishment doled out by the league.

in other injury news, stalberg is out 3-4 weeks with an ACL sprain.
corey tropp sustained a broken jaw in that toronto scuffle as well

Maybe not McSorley intentional, but that was a pretty reckless swing, I thought on the (admittedly small) video that I watched.
