Agreed. I was wondering what the point was. Letang will have more points and is far more dynamic than Pietrangelo.

For fantasy purposes, I was wondering what was going on with Brunner. He didn't have an epic first year, but he stemmed to do pretty well to warrant some interest. Surprised it took all the way up to a PTO for someone to give him a try.

He definitely through he was better than he was.

The NHL "Middle Class" is what suffered with the cap decline. the guys making, or were in line to make 2.5-4.5 million saw little-to-no interest as their cap hit wasnt conducive to organizational feasibility. I think Brunner fits that mold. I think Mason Raymond fits that mold. I think Brenden Morrow as well. They are the ones hurting from the lockout more than anything.

Yeah, that was pretty plain to see. Brunner's problem is that he thinks he should be in that middle class, but one season of middling production doesn't earn you that kind of money. He would have been wise to take the contract the Wings offered him.
