If you truly believe that, then why didn't you vote for canaan, who already had 2 votes, and voted for shafnutz who didn't even have a vote? Are you purposely trying to spread it out?

I would be ok with a switch to canaan. I might even be ok for voting with them. It's still a crapshoot right now, and we've quite a bit of time to the deadline.

I find it highly interesting that by sticking to my guns and voting for the same person on Day 1 and Day 2 (and not changing my vote once), that somehow makes me look "suspicious". Can someone explain why that is suspicious?

Actually, you were being questioned as to why you and canaan were voting in lockstep.....that's something you see too often.
By changing the subject in your terse response, you invite suspicion.
