you've already got lock washers, i don't think you need the stainless nylon lock nut, just go with http://www.lowes.com/pd_40958-37672-492 ... facetInfo=" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

stainless and galvanizing don't jive

Well, the guest room will be a nursery in about 5 months. So technically, nursery closet doors or master bath closet?

You got some time on the nursery, so Id probably go with the master bath, though it may make your wife happy to make some progress on the nursery

Not sure what good a split lock washer is going to do on wood. wouldnt it over time just split into the wood? I'd just go with standard washers. even a nylon insert lock nut is overkill i think.

so just

5/16-in x 3/4-in Galvanized/Un-Coated Standard (SAE) Flat Washer
http://www.lowes.com/pd_41574-37672-492 ... facetInfo=

and

5/16-in-18 Hot-Dipped Galvanized Standard (SAE) Hex Nuts
http://www.lowes.com/ProductDisplay?par ... &cId=PDIO1

should be fine?

i would get all hot dipped galvanized stuff... i also thought of something else eddy, i know the plans for that other one show 5/16" hardware, but because yours is so much bigger, i might be inclined to go with 3/8" or even better, 1/2" at least for the main lower supports. if this thing is going to be getting used heavily, i wouldn't want to stand or have my kids on a raised 8x8 deck if the hardware was kind of wimpy.

too late, already purchased. I'll double them up on the 2x6s

and for 50 of the 3/8, it's $200

Words of wisdom if you're redoing a kitchen - buy the tallest faucet you can. If you think that it's tall enough at
the store, it's not.
