I count one goalie who is wearing so much equipment he resembles the Michelin man.

Only caught the very end of it. If you can, please elaborate. When a goalie talks I generally listen (referring to you in this case, not Panger).meow wrote:Panger with a big swing and miss on why Crawford has been getting beat glove side. I expected better from Panger.

This is what the traditionalists call, "letting the boys play." It's awful to watch.marek wrote:I counted 6meow wrote:Counted 4 interference penalties in 9 game seconds. No calls. All Boston on Chicago. Is the NHL rulebook in ancient Hebrew or something?

Re: Other NHL games
The only interference call I might have called (that I noticed...I don't sit around trying to spot reasons why I don't like the game of hockey that I'm watching) was someone burying Toews (Chara?) when the puck was in the LW corner and it meant to go behind the net to Toews but never got close. Someone finished Toews off anyhow. That was the only time I peaked over to a ref so far. And even then it had little to do with the play ultimately, so I'm fine with it...

Chara has either turned into a pilon or the pens never bothered to challenge him... Twice Kane has burned him by simply going around him to the net

Look, crash the net and the force field comes down. Kane is really playing well.

Rask must have run out of batteries for his force field.

This season doesn't feel like it was 48 games....still feels like it's been a long season! I guess it feels long when you're team isn't playing...

Re: Other NHL games
If you really feel that way, why do you watch? Never understand people that call the NHL a garage league, but keep on watching. You hoping it will change? Don't count on it. What you see is what you get and will get in future games.marek wrote:2 minutes for a bloodying cross check to the face... This league is worse than the freaking nba

Re: Other NHL games
He said it was positioning of his glove hand. He doesn't like that Crawford uses fingers up, which is what I use and how I coach. Fingers up gives you and much better range of motion and is a more natural catching motion. Do a little test of this. Hold your hand so your fingers are parallel to the ground and your thumb pointing toward the ceiling. Now, without changing the position of your hand, pretend to catch a puck shot at your logo. Can't do it. Now point your fingertips straight up at the ceiling and move your hand around. Full range of motion.mikey287 wrote:Only caught the very end of it. If you can, please elaborate. My thought on Crawfords glove struggles are simple. One, he has bad hands, which is a trademark of Canadian goaltenders. Two, he seems to be picking pucks up a bit late shot to his glove side. Maybe a confidence issue? Maybe over thinking? Looks like he was guessing on a few of them. I heard he took twenty minutes of glove work practice at the morning skate. The extra work seems to been paying off. Extra work like that is to build some quick muscle memory and turn movements over to your subconscious and take your conscious brain out of the equation.

Bergeron left in an ambulance? Jesus. I thought it was a groin at first. Hope it's nothing serious.
