They should just concede the series to LA.

It's hopeless.

Indeed.

For those that didn't see it, this is roughly what the Blackhawks looked like around game 7, 8, 9 (whatever) of the season, when the wheels were greased and they were firing on all cylinders. It's just tough to touch the puck against them. Tough to score on them when you only see the puck whiz by you in the other direction. That Kings team is quality too.

Like I said, they sleepwalked through Minnesota without lifting an eyelid. It carried into Detroit and then they got going and they went into juggernaut status. Boston will be a tough match for them, but I said the same thing about LA...so who knows...two of the best duking it out for the Cup though, no doubt.

Its easy to say because they had the best record and are in the finals now (so I am a genius for pointing this out) but it really shows how smart they built the team. 4 stars on the top 2 lines but Toews and Hossa also really, really excel as two way players. Around that throw in either defensive specialists or role players like Handzus, Bickell , Bolland, Stalberg. Add in 3 minutes eating dmen to pair with at the very least 3 above average guys.

Just a smart set up. Dont get too cute, dont get too smart. Dont feel the need to trade a for a 2nd line center like Vancouver did. Round out your team, your top 4 guys are good enough get the plugs around them and just play hockey.

Fun to watch.

Their balance throughout their lines and pairings is impressive. And despite all the flash and speed they show, Michal Handzus is their second line center right now...he's slow as a goat, but hey, whatever works...

Yeah, I think its just good balance. Can run with a guy like Handzus / Bolland as your 2nd line center if you have those other 4 running your show (sprinkle in Bickell) and the balance between speed, skill, defensive, play role players is pretty cool to watch.
