You play as many hockey games as Alfie has, you're likely going to have a few d-bag moments. Not defending his actions against Tucker or Niedermayer by any means, but those don't take into context the vast majority of his career.

I don't think I've ever seen either of them shoot a puck at an opposing player or try to crosscheck someone in the head. There's a line there somewhere.

Not sure what you mean. I'm not a fan of Alfie, but the guy has played on a bunch of good if not great teams, including a Cup finalist team, and the Swedish 2006 gold medal team. He'll retire as the best Swedish winger ever, right?

On my way into work this morning I heard Bob Errey on the radio saying that Alfie and Karlsson were golfing at Oakmont between games 1 & 2 in Pittsburgh. Has anyone else heard anything about this?
I know its not a huge deal, but you would think this is the time of year that a team locks itself in and conserves as much energy as possible, not having their 40 year old captain and star defencemen coming back from an injury kicking off to play 9 or 18 holes during their "off" day.
Either way, they have plenty of time to work on their golf games now, thanks to their efforts against the Penguins.
