Feeling like this could be remembered in the halls of LGP as a legendary thread necro.

What an epic first response from Doc. Now look at yourself. Where's the belief, man?

It's hard after the epic 2010 collapse against the Canadiens, it really is. In the past few years I've seen absolute brilliance from the team, as well as undisciplined and uninspired play in the post-season.meow wrote:What an epic first response from Doc. A regular season game is so easy to watch cause in the grand scheme of an 82 game season, you can say throughout the first 4 or 5 months "Well there's always next game, whatever..." but in the playoffs it's so much harder to watch especially when the team is being dominated by a pitiful Islanders team with a questionable goaltender who's already let up almost 20 goals.
The Pens can and will make it out of this round. But their play doesn't bode well for the immediate future, and a lot of people are going to be expendable this summer. No matter what RS decides, it's for the best to blow up a few key components cause obviously something is wrong with the team.
tl;dr: I believe...that in the near future we'll contend for a cup again.
