While I'm glad you don't, we've been praying about it for weeks and you announce the results to the world before contacting your family. This is a known trend with her though. The best part is she got all pissed off when we posted a video of my son's first steps on FB. She wanted to "see them in person". Um....you weren't there. You can't see his first steps unless you watch the video....

this isnt a pet peeve, its actually the opposite. its one of those little things that whenever they happen you just smile. when people are running across the street for something and they do the run/walk were they move their legs really fast but dont move their upper body and then about halfway to their goal they sort of slow up as if they were caught running somewhere or couldnt maintain their runwalk pace.

People who don't have children who talk about people who do and how they should be raising them..

From my FB wall today:

Person A - After trying earplugs last night to block the loud cries of my next door neighbors baby...I never want to have kids. And even if I did, I wouldnt let it cry for a whole hour!

Person A - What blows my mind is people are always like, "Well it's a baby. It's supposed to cry in the night." No...no it's not. In fact, it should be sleep... Go figure. Parents need to learn proper care for their babies and how to read signs that things aren't okay. There's a difference between common and normal.

Person B - Right? They arent even nice about it. They just say the baby has to cry and that its a baby. Uh, im a human who trains all day and needs to sleep. I dont get why they sleep in different rooms anyway. My parents had me in their room.

This is most annoying around 6am when the birds are chirping outside my window.

Slight thread de-railment:

My son is not quite 7 months old. He is a terror. Getting him to sleep is a process. First he kicks his feet until his arms are free of his blanket so he can grab the blanket and remove it. Then he flips himself onto the side of the crib. He will crawl around until we flip him back over. Round two involves flipping him back over which involves a wrestling match for the blanket which he finds hilarious. I will then have to turn him over and he will inevitably grab something on his way around, typically my glasses. The kicking from round one resumes and he frees himself to flip again. Round three is typically the end. He is usually sitting upright and crying because he is tired. I have to wrestle the blanket again. He typically lets go and allows me to put him down but in his super fun tantrums he wants to eat until he falls asleep.

Are we really complaining about birds chirping? I'd rather have that than garbage trucks beeping their doggone horns every three seconds.

The regular birds don’t bother me so much. It’s the tom turkeys gobbling at 05:30 that wake me up.

I think if I was a gas station attendant, it would bother the hell out of me if people started their cars before i was done closing up their gas tank.

that person in your office that doesn't put one complete thought into an instant message.

This is the message I just received. I'll remove some of the company-related items.

(my name)
Incident number xxxxxxxxx
You moved it into group xxxxxxx
They changed the group membership last month
It now belongs in....
xxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxxxxx
Incident number xxxxxxxx
was placed in xxxxxxxxx (yes, it was repeated)
If you can
would you mind moving it into xxxxxxxxx

This person could have said all of this in one IM, maybe two.

I've complained in this thread of people who text like that (re: girls)
5 different texts in quick succession for 1, maybe 2 sentences

We have your typical BRITA filter in the fridge. For some reason, the water around the spout freezes up after even a short time in the fridge, and when I go to pour it the water diverts in multiple directions.

nah the temp in our fridge is fine, we never, ever have any issues with freezeups except for that very small bit of water that gets trapped in the lip of the BRITA filter.
