Didn't watch it last night. The girlfriend had to catch up on last week, so tonight will be the night.
I did lay in bed and read the book though.

Re: George R.R. Martin
I have lost a lot of interest in the show since I made the decision to read the books. I feel that once I get past where the show is, i may stop caring altogether about the show. I think its helpful to have already been watching the show though when it comes to following characters.

Awesome ending to the show. Without reading the books, it was quite unexpected.

As soon as they cut back to Brienne and Jamie at the camp I knew it was coming. Quite frankly I'm surprised by the lack of "OMG WTF!" this morning....but don't worry, there will be at least 1 bad *** moment next episode.SolidSnake wrote:Awesome ending to the show. Spoiler that really isn't a spoiler but if you want a little sneak peak at what is about to happen....

I was quite surprised, I was surpised Jamie helped Brienne out and thought he would convince their captors to help him not do what they did.PensFanInDC wrote:As soon as they cut back to Brienne and Jamie at the camp I knew it was coming. I don't understand. If you are gonna do what happened at the very end of the episode why wouldn't you just do it twice. Isn't that much worse? I mean, obviously it is.

Re: George R.R. Martin
Just rewatched last week's episode and man... what an episode that was. One of the better ones of the series, IMO. I'd say the lone weak spot was the extremely awkward scene between Melisandre and Stannis. Otherwise it was very good... and sometimes brilliant.
The small council scene said so much before any words were even spoken. Tywin set it up so that each person would reveal themselves through their choice of a seat... and one by one, each "player" took their place. Tyrion's chair drag made the scene for me.
Just a few more minutes...![Scared :scared:](./images/smilies/scare.gif)

Daenerys, wow. Game of Thrones has this thing where your favorite character switches every few episodes. It's by far her now. And she's becoming more attractive with every episode.

All that really needs to be said is "dracarys". Even though I knew it was coming having read the books, that made it no less awesome.

Re: George R.R. Martin
The Daenerys scenes last season were often painful to watch... to the point where I groaned when they switched to her sometimes... it's been quite a different story this season... much much better. Coincidentally, they seem to be sticking to the book more thus far... not sure if that is the reason per se, but it bears mentioning.
Ever since reading the books, I've been looking forward to Season 3 and 4... and they are not disappointing. So good.
