Mason gives up 3 goals on 8 shots, gets pulled. Bobrovsky comes in, shuts the door, and gets the shootout win.

Marc Staal got hit in the eye with a puck tonight thanks to a tipped shot from Voracek. Not posting the video, but I think the pic says a lot.
Spoiler:

Pic isn't graphic, but I thought I'd hide it just in case.

I knew before the replay that he had gotten it in the eye. He was flailing his legs almost before he hit the ice. Sickening for anyone, but he is a very respectable player. Wish him well and hope it is just a real scare.

His brothers should all put on visors. I know they can't save you in every case, but it is pretty hard for the puck to get to the eye if they are worn properly.

Wish some of the guys who wear them tilted high would put them down further over their eyes....

No official word from the Rangers. But Eric Staal talked to the media.

He said Marc said the doctors are waiting for the swelling to go down, to re-examine him. He said Marc sounded upbeat, but until the exam no one knows if there is any damage.

I had heard Lundqvist was pretty optimistic about his teammate. So there is that as well.

Yeah, I really enjoyed that. He has to be a wrestling fan.
I want to say that he's been front row at Raw before with several other Flyers.

Was just about to post this:

@TSNBobMcKenzie: NYR news on Staal, relatively speaking, +ve. Injury improved significantly. Drs. optimistic Marc to make full recovery.  Out indefinitely.

To steal a line from Mark Twain. I don't wish for anyone to get hurt but I enjoy reading injury reports with his name on it more than others.

Two Hawks on the power play go to the net. Both immediately on their wallet.

I'd like to see us do that sometime.

Will the Hawks come back again, or will this be the end of the streak?

Duchene hits the post which could of made it 3-1 Avalanche. Then Chicago scored short handed, the Hawks been so lucky that it's sickening.

Emery is consistent with his positioning. Plenty of chances into a stone wall.
