Was OV cherry picking with both the puck and Clode deep in the zone?

Adam Proteau @Proteautype
Jay Bouwmeester sets NHL record for most games played (735) without a playoff appearance. Closing in fast at 622 games, the Maple Leafs.
Would be a good deadline pickup maybe. Then again, no playoff experience... hm.

Think Martin's play last year.
Now make it about 5 times worse. There's a reason Bouwmeester's never been in the playoffs. No playoff-worthy team wanted him and his ridiculous contract. There has to be a correlation between when the Flames got Bouwmeester and when they stopped making the playoffs (and there is: He came over in 2009-2010, Calgary last made the playoffs in 2008-2009)

Oh, if only Calgary's problems were that simple.

Not saying he's the entire problem, but he's definitely a part of it.

Haven't really seen him play lately, so maybe he would not be such a great pick-up after all.

Oh, I thought for some reason he was a UFA after this season.
So... let's just forget about Bouwmeester, it was a terrible idea.

Let's take it easy on the Bouwmeester hate, huh? He's been awesome this year.

Here's one for you. My old roommate was a Calgary fan, we use to watch a lot of each others game. He told me he would trade Bouwmeester for Lovejoy straight up. Tells you what he thought of Bouwmeester, can't say I disagree with him.

I thought Milbury was going to punch someone when talking about Ovechkin during the 2nd intermission! He was railing Ovi hard!
