I noticed that too because my Dad also has the same. It's controllable to some extent when you're holding something in your hands at the early stages for a while, but that was the first thing I thought also. Sorry, I have no idea in Emrick's case to answer your question.shafnutz05 wrote:Does anyone know if Doc Emrick has Parkinson's? Looked like he was shaking a bit when doing that pregame thing.

I'm not sure about Doc, couldn't find anything on the interwebz.
Perhaps he shakes because he tries to get everything out in 1 breath? I can't recall a time I've actually heard him breathe during a pre-game when the camera is on him (unless I'm making it up)

Yeah, is Chicago really this good? This is the first I have watched them and they look pretty darn strong.profpolisci wrote:Six in a row.

I've read that same spiel about niemi when he was in Chicago. All Chicago needs is a capable goalie who doesn't dump all over himself.

Re: Other NHL games
Crawford has had some trouble with incompetence (or, in your analogy, incontinence) in the past...he's been something of a mystery box ever since his days in the Q...the foundations that he seems to base his goaltending on are pretty strong, but he's just not all that good at them really...he means well, but he's just not quite talented enough to pull off the style he wants I think...so with that, he's not really a percentages goalie and you don't get that "ok, he'll stop 9 out of 10, so we gotta score 3..." mindset...it just a complete guess as to what kind of effort he'll turn in on any given night and their backups are sub- or fringe NHL in nature...canaan wrote:I've read that same spiel about niemi when he was in Chicago. Outside the crease, the Hawks are good, but they have their weaknesses...they're holding open auditions for 2nd line center still and Oduya and Brookbank seem to play a fair bit, both brutal players...

Wouldn't mind having that Hossa fella on the Pens. ![Popcorn :pop:](./images/smilies/popcorn.gif)
Nice SO win by the Wild. Very entertaining game. Unlike one I watched last night.

Re: Other NHL games
I watched the Wild PP on the 5 on 3 they had. Reminded me of the Pens PP when he was here. They kept working it to PM Bouchard on the left side. Problem was he was a lefty and the Hawks were basically giving him clear lanes to the net b/c he wasn't shooting it. Like I was confused by how much room they gave them and the fact that if he would have just skated in, he had mini breakaways any time he wanted them. Instead he just passed it away and they got nothing from it. Very curious set up.

The Caps game was so bad. Ovechkin looks lost on so many levels. He missed so many wide open nets today, he should change his name to Michel Ouellet.
