Is Great Lakes ever going to make anything that isn't fantastic? You get the impression it is going to primarily be cocoa, but the array of flavors are just fantastic. The hops mesh perfectly with the maltiness, which meshes perfectly with the heavier nature of the stout. At 9.0%, the alcohol is masked reasonably well. Fantastic.

impromptu backyard tackle soccer game + case of Blackout Stout + thinking I'm 18 again = broken ribs and toes (seemed like a good idea at the time)

I heavily enjoyed (perhaps too much) their Wee Heavy-er Scotch ale, Ryehopper rye pale, and new barley wine. I'm not sure what their distribution is like, but be sure to check them out if you're ever in Tennessee/NC/Georgia.
I had a few of their brews and always loved their name. Didn't realize it was named after the street in Asheville until we went there. Great city to visit, just wish places downtown had air conditioning!
The street itself is actually named after a local river. [/themoreyouknow]

It's a really cool city to visit if you dig beer. Dozens of breweries and pubs within walking distance. So many in fact that a PBR tallboy costs on average $2 at a trendy, overpriced bar. Why yes, I will.

For some reason, I bought a 6 of New Belgium Snow Day to cook with. I needed one beer to marinate a pork roast, and as I don't drink much beer, get something that I might enjoy.

It's gross. The pork turned out OK, but the ale wasn't good. I have four left, if anyone wants them.

I guess I'm more of a pilsner man.

After this week I'm ready to get into it tonight, but I feel like I should save up my strength with Divisional playoff weekend coming up

It tastes like... beer. It's not insanely "beer" taste, but it's not Natty either. Has a little more flavor than Miller (and Miller is typically my go-to, sit down and just drink beer).

Used to get kegs of it in high school, I enjoy it, especially in June when it's hot & pens are playing

Moosehead is certainly above the other macros, but below Yuengling for a cheap lager IMO

Trying this for the first time tonight, found it in the bottle section at Whole Foods:

Wow....one of the best IPAs I think I've ever had, and I already like it better than 60 minute. Incredibly smooth beer, for all of the IPA lovers in here this is a must-try.

Also absolutely delicious (does Founders make anything bad?). I would rate it slightly below Ballast Point, but we are splitting hairs at that point. Excellent

My second bottle of Weihenstephaner from this case was better than the other, but still noticeably less fresh than the pint of Vitus. What a beer though.

Two down, quite nice. Maybe could use a touch more body, but the flavors and finish are really good. The 10% isn't striking, either.

I had one more, along with plenty of food, but I'm feeling it a bit.

Man after my own heart, I did the same.

Finally had an Old Man Winter....pretty solid winter ale.
