Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
Awesome. I've had Delirium Noel @ Sharpedge. Good stuff. Had the Corsedonk before as well. It was decent, not as good as the DN. According to our waitress, those were the 2 most popular xmas beers at that time.

that is awesome.eddysnake wrote:Speaking of Ommegang...
HBO is set to announce that it will team up with Brewery Ommegang, a Belgian-style brewery in Cooperstown N.Y., to create beers based on themes and characters in the fantasy series adapted from the novels by George R. R. Martin.
The first beer, Iron Throne Blonde Ale, will be inaugurated nationwide in late March, to coincide with the Season 3 premiere of “Game of Thrones,” which is scheduled for March 31. Three more beers are planned, with the second to be released next fall. The others will follow in subsequent seasons.

I got the Sam Adams Small Batch Sampler that had that one. It was good, but my favorite of the bunch was the Norse Legend. I had to go and find a few more bottles of that on it's own...OutofFoil wrote:Had a Sam Adams Merry Mischief on draft during lunch. Pretty good stuff.

On deck for this evening:
Weihenstephaner Vitus (Weizenbock)
Spaten Optimator (Doppelbock)
Monks Cafe Flemish Sour Ale
Not necessarily in that order.

I bought a 12 pack of Brooklyn Lager today. Nothing too esoteric, but It's still my favorite lager.

Moral dilemma, fellow beer people...
Wife and I have a case of Bell's Winter White that we bought for a gift for a friend sitting in our living room. We have stupid beer in the fridge. We've made the decision that we're in for the night. We certainly have enough time to replace the Bell's before Christmas. We're watching Christmas Vacation tonight.
Are we bad people if we crack the seal?

Also as a note, they apparently are offering a "flight" of the 2009-2012 Mad Elf. Unfortunately, I didn't realize at the time I ordered or I would have done that... Pretty neat.

St Nicholas Brewers Reserve @ Penn Brewery. Good times. Kinda like St Nicks, but it's a doppelbock.

Wow. They accidentally poured a Simon Girty growler and gave it to us on the house.

D's has (maybe had by now) La Fin Du Monde on tap. Probably the first time in 5-6 years that I've heard of it being on tap anywhere.

I can't remember seeing it on the list, but my eyes were immediately drawn to the various xmas ales so I may have overlooked it.

It's good beer, but I prefer regular Coors. Taste better.Kaizer wrote:for those who havent had it, Coors Light is incredible, you should definitely try to find some if possible.

Re: GIVE ME YOUR BEER SUGGESTIONS!!
La Fin Du Monde is so excellent. The Troegs Scratch #82 (tripel) I had last night (x3) was a decent attempt and had a flavor profile similar to LFDM.
