Please let the 5:40 free for all die. i didnt mind siebel, but his delivery was so forced, it was insincere, even if he believed what he was saying.

I just hope that Chris Mack doesn't get back on the air, as a result of these changes.
That wouldn't be good for anyone (except him).

I like Bill Crawford, Prisutta, and Wysocki. Val and Randy are meh. Paulsen is ok when he isn't doing stupid songs or skits. The Steve's Marijuana skits are some of the unfunniest stuff ever done.

Re: The Official LGP Pittsburgh Sport Radio Thread
Anymore I find myself looking to see who the guests are on local sports talk shows unless there is news that interests me like a signing, trade, or draft. Then I may tune in for reaction. But then again I probably have tuned out local radio more due to there being no hockey.

ESPN 1250 used to get Matt Williamson to talk football, Jim Callis and Keith Law to talk about baseball and Burnside to talk about hockey....those were the days.

Siebel didn't get fired per se. His contract expired and was not renewed. I'll bet Vinnie will have the same fate as he is rumored to have a high salary.

In the radio business, if they don't renew your contract...you got fired.

I was never privy to his contract info. I basically started doing some small volunteer work for them at about the same time he was let go. "Foot in the door" type stuff.

God it feels like anytime I listen to his show if the same crap every day, just recycled and reworded. I used to listen to his show everyday, but I find myself listening to my iPod instead of tuning to his show because it's boring and very annoying.
The other day when I went to get lunch I listened to Savran on 970 and what a breath of fresh air compared to the tools that make up sports radio in this town, All he was doing is talking sports with no spin, agenda or ways to make the conversation humorous. Just straight up sports talk and it was great.
